Employment with GPC

The Mann family has been farming in the Western District of Victoria since 1936, and Glenthompson Pastoral Company itself has been in operation since 2006. GPC prefers to source Managers and Overseers from within the organisation. This has proven to be a mutually beneficial approach, typically providing a stable long-term strategy to fill managerial roles, nevertheless, significant employment opportunities regularly arise within the pastoral company. Being of relatively large scale, with 4 farms under the GPC banner, it is self-evident that individuals with focus and ambition may see the opportunity to progress to roles of higher responsibility, such as that of an overseer and from there on potentially to a managerial position.

 

GPC additionally offers significant employment opportunities to Jackaroos, Jillaroos and backpackers alike who have an interest in becoming involved in, and gain experience in, a farming operation. Over recent years, GPC has developed an extensive history of employment of young people from within Australia and abroad, including New Zealand, Ireland, France, Germany, Canada, England, Scotland, Zimbabwe, Finland and Chile.
